Noida Opens 4.5-km Bhangel Elevated Road for Trial Use

Trial results will determine when the corridor opens fully to the public.

Overview

  • The Noida Authority opened the six-lane stretch on Tuesday for trial operations on the DSC Marg corridor.
  • The project spans 4.5 km and cost Rs 608.08 crore, targeting chronic congestion on one of Noida’s busiest routes.
  • The road runs from Vikas Marg in Sector 51 to the NSEZ, crossing crowded market areas and linking Sadarpur, Chhalera, Agahpur, Barola, Salarpur and Bhangel.
  • Officials project shorter commutes and relief for ground-level traffic, estimating benefits for about 200,000 people and improved access to nearby industrial and residential sectors.
  • Launched in 2020 after earlier delays, the work accelerated under CEO Dr Lokesh M’s inspections following a postponed 2022 inauguration.
