Overview

• The NOFV officially called for the rapid formation of a working group to resolve inequities in fourth-tier Regionalliga promotion.
• The proposed panel would include three club representatives and three regional association delegates from each of the five Regionalliga divisions alongside DFB and DFL delegates.
• Other regional associations have not yet endorsed the proposal and intend to discuss it at their upcoming Staffel meetings with member clubs.
• The NOFV and the Aufstiegsreform2025 initiative have concluded that a binding reform motion for the November DFB Bundestag is unrealistic and have withdrawn efforts in that forum.
• So far 33 clubs nationwide, including 21 from the Nordost region, back the reform campaign and currently favor a model with four divisions and four fixed promotion spots.
