Overview
- The Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutet names the physiology or medicine laureate today, launching the 6–13 October announcements.
- Physics will be announced on 7 October, chemistry on 8 October, literature on 9 October, the Peace Prize on 10 October in Oslo, and the economics prize on 13 October.
- Each 2025 prize carries 11 million Swedish kronor, with laureates also receiving a diploma and a gold medal.
- Selections are made by designated bodies—Karolinska Institutet, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, the Swedish Academy, and the Norwegian Nobel Committee—under rules limiting awards to up to three people and sealing nominations for 50 years.
- Laureates will be honored on 10 December at ceremonies in Stockholm and Oslo.
