  • The SSN logged 21 quakes on Monday afternoon, with magnitudes ranging from 1.8 to 4.0 between 13:43 and 16:44 local time.
  • The largest events included a magnitude 4.0 southwest of San Gabriel Chilac, Puebla, and a magnitude 3.9 southwest of Pichucalco, Chiapas.
  • The sequence also featured a magnitude 3.5 northeast of Coyuca de Benítez, Guerrero, among other shallow, low-magnitude tremors.
  • Given SASMEX activation criteria based on distance and magnitude, these events did not meet warning thresholds, and Protección Civil reiterated standard safety recommendations.
