‘No Other Land’ Dominates 40th IDA Documentary Awards

The Israeli-Palestinian documentary wins Best Feature, Best Director, and the Courage Under Fire Award at the Los Angeles ceremony.

The documentary 'No Other Land,' directed by Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal, Rachel Szor, and Yuval Abraham, won Best Feature Documentary and Best Director at the 40th IDA Documentary Awards.
The film also received the Courage Under Fire Award for its portrayal of life in the West Bank's Masafer Yatta region under difficult and dangerous conditions.
'No Other Land' has been on an awards streak, recently winning at the Gotham Awards and being named Best Documentary by the New York Film Critics Circle.
Other notable winners include 'Instruments of a Beating Heart' for Best Short Documentary and 'Soundtrack to a Coup d’Etat' for Best Writing and Best Editing.
Dawn Porter was honored with the Career Achievement Award, and Shiori Ito of 'Black Box Diaries' received the Emerging Filmmaker Award.
