No October Raise for Argentina’s Domestic Workers as CNTCP Leaves Pay Scale Unchanged

Temporary bonuses ended this month, leaving only the base scale with mandatory zone and seniority add‑ons.

Overview

  • The Comisión Nacional de Trabajo en Casas Particulares did not reopen wage talks, so the September pay grid carries over unchanged in October.
  • Minimums remain at the official scale, including examples such as general tasks with live‑out at $3,052.99 per hour and $374,541 per month, and supervisors with live‑out at $3,683.21 per hour and $459,471.73 per month.
  • The 30% ‘zona desfavorable’ supplement is still mandatory for work performed in La Pampa, Río Negro, Chubut, Neuquén, Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego, Antártida e Islas del Atlántico Sur, and Partido de Patagones.
  • A 1% seniority increment per year of service must be added to the basic salary for all categories.
  • Three non‑remunerative bonuses paid between June and September under Resolution 1/2025 ceased in October after totaling roughly $4,000 to $10,000 per month depending on hours, reducing take‑home pay for many.
