No Man’s Sky Arrives on iPhone and iPad

Hello Games says engine work from its next project enabled the full decade of updates to run on older iPhones and iPads with a small install size.

Overview

  • Hello Games opened preorders on Monday, October 12, 2026, and will release the iPhone and iPad port on October 28, 2026 with a free trial and a $19.99 unlock price.
  • The mobile edition includes the game’s decade-long updates such as COSMOS and Voyagers while omitting multiplayer and player-built settlements at launch.
  • Developers say the port runs on devices as old as the iPhone 11 and iPad Air 3, supports touch controls plus controllers and mouse-and-keyboard on iPad, and installs at under 5 gigabytes.
  • Hello Games began the mobile project roughly three years ago and credits optimization work from its in-development title Light No Fire for the performance, memory, and battery improvements that made the port possible.
  • Bringing the full game to mobile could broaden No Man’s Sky’s audience through the App Store and the free-to-try model, and Hello Games may add missing features later based on player feedback and usage.
