Overview

• Announced by the IAF PRO in Guwahati, the 25-member No 7 AF Band will play at Digholi Pukhuri at 5:30 pm on 15 August as part of the 79th Independence Day celebrations.
• The ensemble will deliver a 75-minute program featuring 16 patriotic songs that pay tribute to India’s armed forces.
• The event is organized under the Ministry of Defence and Air Headquarters to foster national pride and showcase military professionalism.
• On-site installations will include themed selfie points and banners celebrating milestones such as the Chandrayaan Mission, Digital India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, Fit India Movement, UDAN scheme and Operation Sindoor.
• The Indian Air Force has invited all citizens of Guwahati to attend the free public concert and join in the Independence Day festivities.
