• Texas opened 2-0 without dropping a set across two ranked opponents at the Opening Spike Classic in Madison.
• The Longhorns beat Wisconsin 29-27, 25-20, 25-14, outblocking the Badgers 10-6 and outhitting them .296 to .141 while limiting errors 10-26.
• Cari Spears led Texas with 11 kills against Wisconsin, Abby Vander Wal added 10, Torrey Stafford had nine, Nya Bunton recorded seven blocks, Ella Swindle had 22 assists, and Emma Halter tallied 14 digs.
• In the opener, Texas swept No. 12 Creighton 25-21, 25-19, 26-24, led by Stafford’s 12 kills and 15 digs with Vander Wal and Cari Spears combining for 18 kills.
