North Carolina improved to 8-1 on the season with a 72-53 win over previously undefeated Kentucky in the SEC/ACC Challenge.
The Tar Heels controlled the paint, outscoring Kentucky 42-10 and outrebounding them 37-29.
Sophomore Reniya Kelly led UNC with 18 points and six assists, while seniors Maria Gakdeng and Alyssa Ustby contributed 16 and 13 points, respectively.
Kentucky's leading scorer, Clara Strack, was held to a season-low four points on 2-of-10 shooting, while Georgia Amoore added 10 points and eight assists.
North Carolina faces Coppin State next, while Kentucky will look to rebound at home against Queens University on Monday.
