Bryce Underwood, the No. 1 overall prospect in the class of 2025, has committed to play for the LSU Tigers, choosing them over other top schools including Colorado, Alabama, Michigan, Oregon, Penn State, and Florida State.
Underwood, a five-star quarterback from Belleville, Michigan, has had an impressive high school career, throwing for 3,165 yards and 40 touchdowns against two interceptions in his junior season.
Underwood's commitment to LSU is a significant win for the program, which recently lost Jayden Daniels to the NFL. Daniels had a standout season, throwing for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns in 2023.
LSU's 2025 recruiting class now features the top quarterback, top receiver (Dakorien Moore), and running back (Harlem Berry) in the 247Sports Composite.
Despite Underwood's commitment, LSU still needs to determine who will start as quarterback in the 2024 season, with Garrett Nussmeier currently the favorite.
