No. 1 Draft Pick Victor Wembanyama May Debut in Sacramento Summer League Instead of Las Vegas

Victor Wembanyama will play in the French league finals before likely being drafted as the No. 1 pick by the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA draft on June 22.
The NBA Summer League in Las Vegas is the biggest, but the league is fine with Wembanyama debuting in the smaller summer league in Sacramento if the Spurs choose to do so.
The Sacramento summer league will also host the Charlotte Hornets, who hold the No. 2 pick, potentially setting up a No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup.
Wembanyama's debut in Sacramento would make him the first No. 1 pick to not debut in Las Vegas since Markelle Fultz in 2017.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver supports Wembanyama getting playing court experience and advises him to control what he can control and listen to advice if he joins the Spurs.
