- Navi Mumbai International Airport Pvt Ltd and Apollo Hospitals signed an MoU on November 4 to deliver comprehensive healthcare for passengers and staff.
- Six medical centres will operate round the clock at Terminal 1 with ACLS-certified clinicians and emergency responders, with press reports citing teams of three doctors, eight nurses and two drivers per centre.
- Two fully equipped ICU ambulances will be stationed on site and 65 AEDs will be installed across terminals to speed response to cardiac and other emergencies.
- Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai, located about four kilometres from the airport, will lead emergency and disaster-response readiness with on-ground support and simulation drills.
- The medical buildout is part of pre-launch preparations for the greenfield PPP airport, which has transferred security to the CISF and has not yet announced a start date for commercial flights.
