Overview
- Online registration opened on August 7 for admission to the five-year BA LLB and one-year LLM programmes for the 2026-27 session
- Applicants must meet category-based academic thresholds—45% general, 42% OBC, 40% SC/ST/PwD for BA LLB and 50% in LLB (45% for SC/ST/PwD) for LLM—and submit fees of Rs 3,000 (general) or Rs 1,000 (SC/ST/PwD) with waivers for BPL SC/ST women
- Candidates select three preferred test cities from more than 30 locations, with any city hosting fewer than 100 applicants being replaced by a subsequent preference
- The offline AILET exam is scheduled for December 14, 2025, from 2 pm to 4 pm and will feature 150 multiple-choice questions across English, current affairs and logical reasoning with a 0.25 mark penalty for wrong answers
- NLU Delhi will open AIET 2026 registration on January 7 ahead of the May 3, 2026 postgraduate entrance test
