Overview
- Applications are live on nls.ac.in with the submission deadline set for March 23, 2026 at 11:59 pm.
- The entrance test will run on April 26, 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm in a single sitting across designated centres nationwide.
- The exam spans 150 minutes in pen-and-paper mode with Part A on comprehension, current affairs and critical reasoning, and Part B on legal aptitude, reasoning and analytical ability; Part B is evaluated only for candidates who qualify Part A.
- The marking scheme awards 1 mark per correct answer with a 0.25 deduction for each incorrect or unanswered response.
- NLSAT 2026 governs admissions to the 3-year LLB (Hons.), NLS BA (Hons.), Master’s in Public Policy and PhD programmes, with the LLB intake capped at 120 seats for 2026–27; final lists are expected by end-May and enrolment is confirmed after document verification and fee payment ahead of a July 1, 2026 start.
