NLIU Bhopal Opens Registration for NHRC-Backed Human Rights Moot and 2026 MUN

  • The 1st NLIU–NHRC National Moot Court Competition will be held on campus in Bhopal from January 9–11, 2026 with a proposition on human rights in emerging criminal justice practice.
  • The moot begins with a Memorial Qualification Round, sending the top 24 teams to in-person oral rounds; fees are INR 1,500 for memorials and INR 3,500 for teams advancing to orals, with one three-member team per institution.
  • Moot prizes include Rs 41,000 for winners, Rs 25,000 for runners-up, Rs 11,000 each for best petitioner and respondent memorials, and Rs 5,000 for best speaker.
  • Key moot deadlines include provisional registration by November 30 (extended), clarification requests by November 27, soft-copy memorials by December 18, and the list of oral qualifiers on December 24.
  • NLIU-MUN 2026 runs January 2–4 with six committees under CRIL and Manthan, offers a Rs 1,20,000 prize pool, charges ₹1,500 without accommodation or ₹2,500 with three nights’ stay, and accepts registrations through December 25.
