- Nitish Kumar on Friday opened and laid foundation stones for 17 development works in Patna district.

- The package features 12 power-sector items and four tourism projects, alongside the inauguration of the Jananayak Karpuri Thakur Library at Dulhin Bazaar.
- Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and ministers including Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Vijay Kumar Choudhary attended, with officials noting the bridge’s use for pedestrians, small vehicles and pilgrims during the Pitru Paksha fair.
- The Patna event follows a Saran slate of 27 works worth Rs 1,203.81 crore that includes a new grid substation, a 132 kV line and NH-19 improvements, as the government spotlights a pension increase to Rs 1,100 and 125 free electricity units.
