Nitish Kumar Launches Rs 10,000-Crore Roads and Urban Works Package in Patna

- Foundation stone was laid for a 35.65 km JP Ganga Path extension from Digha to Koilwar Bridge at over Rs 6,495 crore, which the government says will link NH-922, the Purvanchal Expressway and NH-319 and ease congestion to key institutions and Bihta Airport.
- Five additional road projects totaling 225.475 km were launched at Rs 2,900 crore, including the 58.47 km Dhoraiya–English Mor–Asarganj Road (Rs 650 crore) and a 21.3 km Hathaudi–Aurai bridge in Muzaffarpur (Rs 814.22 crore).
- Further works include the 32.26 km Ara–Ekauna–Khaira–Sahar Path in Bhojpur (Rs 373.56 crore), the 72.18 km Chhapra–Manjhi–Darouli–Ghuthni Path (Rs 701.26 crore), and the 41.25 km Banganga–Jethian–Gahlot stretch across Nawada, Nalanda and Gaya (Rs 361.32 crore).
- Under the Mukhyamantri Samagra Shahari Vikas Yojna, 1,300 urban projects worth Rs 769.63 crore were launched across 33 districts, along with Rs 124.44 crore for road restoration in Patna Municipal Corporation limits and Rs 69.97 crore for six mechanised garbage transfer stations.
- At Patna’s Mauryalok complex, the CM inaugurated Rs 15 crore in Patna Smart City facilities, issued appointment letters to 22 city managers, released a scheme booklet, and flagged off Swachhata Express vehicles while honoring sanitation workers.
