  • On July 22, Nita Ambani, joined by daughter Isha Ambani and daughters-in-law Shloka Mehta and Radhika Merchant, officially inaugurated the Swadesh flagship store in Mumbai’s Churchgate district.
  • The pink gharchola saree was crafted from Madurai cotton and handwoven over ten months by artisan Shri Rajshrundar, then styled by Manish Malhotra with a phirozi silk kanchali blouse and antique gold embroidery.
  • Nita accessorised with a gold bajubandh passed down from her maternal great-grandmother, a piece she first wore at her wedding and plans to transfer to Isha and granddaughter Aadiyashakti.
  • A traditional pooja held at the historic Eros building marked the store’s opening, blending cultural ritual with the launch of Reliance Foundation’s artisanal initiative.
  • Swadesh aims to revive and market traditional Indian textiles and handicrafts by showcasing the work of skilled weavers and promoting heirloom jewellery through curated retail spaces.
