NIT Rourkela Reports 1,274 Offers in 2024–25 Placements, Highest CTC at Rs 62.44 LPA

Nearly half of the 373 participating recruiters were first-time visitors, signaling broadened industry engagement.

Overview

  • The drive produced 509 six-month internships, with a highest stipend of Rs 1.26 lakh per month and many expected to convert to PPOs according to the institute.
  • Average compensation for flagship programmes was Rs 14.10 LPA in BTech and Rs 13.48 LPA in MTech, and more than 85 students secured packages above Rs 30 LPA.
  • Software and IT services led hiring with a 22.9% share, followed by Manufacturing (12.4%), BFSI (11.1%) and Education (10.8%), with additional demand from power, oil and gas, aerospace and healthcare.
  • Overall BTech placement stood at 82.20%, with Ceramic Engineering at 97.73%, Electronics and Instrumentation at 97.06% and Computer Science at 94.48%.
  • Top recruiters included Google, AMD, Qualcomm, Wells Fargo, JSW, Amazon, ExxonMobil, DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Barclays, Deloitte, MathWorks, ITC, Texas Instruments, American Express, HP and Bharat Petroleum, offering roles from software and hardware engineering to data and business analysis.
