Nissan Unveils New Electric Models, Including Redesigned Leaf SUV

- Nissan has introduced the third-generation Leaf, now a crossover SUV, featuring a Tesla-compatible NACS charging port and an improved range of up to 373 miles (WLTP).
- The Leaf, built on the CMF-EV platform shared with the Ariya, will launch in North America in 2026, targeting the competitive compact SUV EV market.
- The Micra EV, based on Renault's AmpR Small platform, will debut in Europe in 2025 with a WLTP range of up to 248 miles for its larger battery variant.
- An all-electric Juke is planned for fiscal year 2026, sharing its platform with the new Leaf and promising bold design inspired by the Hyper Punk concept.
- Nissan is also developing an adventure-oriented electric SUV inspired by the Xterra, slated for production in Canton, Mississippi, starting in fiscal year 2027.
