Nissan Unveils D27 Navara for Australia and New Zealand Ahead of 2026 Launch

Overview

• Built in Thailand on Mitsubishi Triton underpinnings, the new Navara pairs Nissan-specific styling with a largely shared chassis, driveline and cabin.
• Local firm Premcar retuned the suspension with larger Monroe dampers after roughly 12 months and about 18,000km of testing, and the model returns to a leaf‑spring rear.
• The ute runs a 2.4‑litre twin‑turbo diesel rated at 150kW/470Nm with a six‑speed automatic, adopts AdBlue with a 17‑litre tank, and switches to electric power steering.
• Initial grades are ST‑X and Pro‑4X with a full‑time ‘Super 4WD’ system and selectable terrain modes, while features include connected services, a 9.0‑inch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto.
