Nissan Unveils Australasian-Only D27 Navara, Triton-Based and Premcar-Tuned

A Pro-4X Warrior concept previews the next locally engineered off-road flagship.

Overview

  • Revealed at a global debut in Adelaide, the dual-cab, auto-only D27 range launches in Australia and New Zealand in Q1 2026 and will be built by Mitsubishi in Thailand.
  • Underpinned by the Mitsubishi Triton’s ladder frame, the Navara adopts a 2.4-litre twin‑turbo diesel (150 kW/470 Nm), an Aisin six‑speed automatic, electric power steering and a return to leaf-spring rear suspension.
  • Premcar conducted a 12‑month, 18,500+ km local chassis program with bespoke dampers, trialling 137 damper codes and 550+ internal shims to tailor ride, steering and handling for regional conditions.
  • ST‑X and Pro‑4X grades headline launch with Nissan’s ‘Super 4WD’ offering full‑time high range and seven terrain modes, while all models add a 9.0‑inch infotainment system, connected services and eight airbags.
  • The Pro‑4X Warrior concept adds a suspension lift, wider track, 17‑inch wheels on 32.2‑inch all‑terrain tyres and functional protection, with production timing unconfirmed and expected to follow the core range.
