Nissan Unveils Aura Nismo RS Concept at Tokyo Auto Salon With Hybrid e-Power and e-4orce AWD

The widebody hot hatch previews Nismo’s broadened road-car push with a production decision still under review.

Overview

  • The concept adopts Nissan’s e-Power layout, pairing a 1.5-liter turbocharged generator with dual electric motors and e-4orce all-wheel drive.
  • Nissan cites outputs of about 144 hp and 250 Nm from the generator, 204 hp and 330 Nm from the front motor, and 136 hp and 195 Nm from the rear motor without a stated combined figure.
  • A widened, lower stance adds 145 mm via flared fenders and drops ride height by 20 mm, complemented by Nismo aero elements to increase downforce and reduce drag.
  • Upgrades include four-piston front and two-piston rear brakes, 18-inch Nismo LM GT4 wheels, and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires, with weight quoted at 1,490 kg.
  • Nissan says it is exploring bringing the RS to market, positioning the show car as an early step in Nismo’s expanded lineup plan.
