Nissan Sets 2026 Leaf S+ at $29,990, Claiming Cheapest New EV in the U.S.

  • Nissan confirmed the Leaf S+ at a $29,990 MSRP, or $31,485 with a $1,495 destination fee, with the SV+ at $34,230 MSRP and the Platinum+ at $38,990.
  • A lower-cost Leaf S with a 52 kWh battery and 174 hp is coming later, but Nissan has not yet disclosed its price.
  • Plus trims use a 75 kWh liquid-cooled pack for up to about 303 miles EPA, with DC fast charging from 10% to 80% in as little as 35 minutes.
  • Every U.S.-market Leaf includes a NACS port for Tesla Supercharger access and supports vehicle-to-load power.
