Nissan Confirms Magnite Is E20-Ready, Keeps Warranty Coverage Intact

The automaker backs India’s E20 rollout by pledging service support for any transition issues.

Overview

  • Nissan’s September 16 statement confirms the Magnite is certified to run on E20 and that using the fuel will not void coverage for units sold after October 2024 or for India-built Nissan vehicles still under warranty.
  • The 1.0L HR10 turbo petrol has been certified E20-compliant since August 2024, and the 1.0L BR10 naturally aspirated petrol since February 2025.
  • Nissan says both new and existing Magnite vehicles can use E20 safely, with any concerns to be checked and resolved during routine service visits.
  • Reports from some owners cite reduced performance and fuel efficiency after refueling with E20, which Nissan says its service network will diagnose as part of the transition.
  • The update follows Nissan’s segment-first 10-year warranty program for the Magnite and its recent 5-star Global NCAP safety rating.
