Nismo Opens First Performance Centre Outside Japan In Melbourne
The Ferntree Gully site links Australian owners to factory restorations, hard-to-find heritage parts and direct technical support from Nismo’s Omori Factory as the brand prepares a wider rollout from 2027.
Overview
- The Nismo Performance Centre at Ferntree Gully, Melbourne, opened in early October 2026 and is the first Nismo Performance Centre to operate outside Japan.
- The facility gives owners access to factory-backed restoration services, heritage components and complete engine packages through a direct pathway to Nismo’s Omori Factory in Japan.
- Nismo-certified technicians, called Nismo Meisters, will perform approved work at the site and offer a menu of performance engine builds, official parts and branded merchandise.
- Nissan plans to announce more Australian centres in major capitals and a possible Auckland site, with a broader domestic and international rollout expected to begin from 2027.
- The centre chiefly targets Australia’s large Nissan enthusiast fleet — notably R32, R33 and R34 Skyline GT-Rs plus Z, Silvia and Stagea models — while new Nismo‑badged road cars in Australia remain limited to the Z Nismo and exclude the Y63 Patrol Nismo.
