Nio Forecasts Record Q2 Deliveries, Announces Expansion into Seven European Markets

First-quarter margin gains alongside Central European dealership partnerships support the push for profitability by Q4 2025.

Overview

  • Nio will enter Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland and Romania over the next 18 months with both its Nio and Firefly brands through partnerships with Hedin Mobility Group and AutoWallis.
  • The company projects second-quarter deliveries of 72,000 to 75,000 vehicles, representing a 25.5%–30.7% year-on-year increase, while Deutsche Bank estimates June volumes could exceed 28,400 units.
  • Automotive revenue climbed 18.6% year-on-year to $1.37 billion in Q1 and gross margin rose to 7.6% thanks to higher volumes and a favorable product mix.
  • CEO William Li reaffirmed plans for monthly deliveries of 25,000 units each from the core Nio and Onvo brands by Q4 2025, supported by the launch of a new ES8 SUV and the Onvo L80 model.
