Overview

• The unoccupied two-story house collapsed just before 6 p.m. Friday on the 23000 block of G.A. Kohler Court in Rodanthe, according to park officials.

• Offshore Hurricanes Imelda and Humberto generated large swells, with breakers reported up to 14–15 feet, rapidly eroding the shoreline and undermining pilings.
