- Nintendo announced on Wednesday that Mario Kart Tour’s online service will close at 11:00 p.m. PT on September 29, 2026 (2:00 a.m. ET on September 30).
- Automatic Gold Pass renewals and new subscriptions were stopped during maintenance on July 7, and existing subscribers keep Gold Pass benefits without continuous‑subscription perks through the shutdown.
- Players without a Gold Pass at the July 7 maintenance will receive the game’s Gold Pass benefits for free starting with the Vacation Tour on August 4 and continuing until service ends.
