Nintendo Switch 2 GameCube Controller Pre-Orders Delayed in US and Canada

The Nintendo Switch 2 is set for a worldwide release on June 5, 2025, alongside a new GameCube controller designed exclusively for classic GameCube titles.
The GameCube controller is incompatible with other Switch 2 games, limiting its functionality to the Nintendo GameCube: Nintendo Classics library.
Nintendo has confirmed that the controller will only be available to Nintendo Switch Online members and initially offered through invite-only pre-orders via the MyNintendo Store.
Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 and the GameCube controller have been delayed in the US and Canada, affecting regional availability.
At launch, the GameCube classics library will feature three titles: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Soulcalibur 2, and F-Zero GX, with more games to follow.
