Overview

  • U.S. retailers applied new MSRPs on August 3 for the original Switch, Switch OLED, Switch Lite, select Switch 2 accessories, amiibo and the Alarmo clock.
  • Target briefly listed updated prices—Switch at $339.99, Switch OLED at $399.99 and Switch Lite at $229.99—ahead of the official rollout.
  • Nintendo confirmed that Switch 2 consoles, all physical and digital games and Nintendo Switch Online memberships remain at current price points.
  • The company attributed the legacy hardware increases to “market conditions,” pointing to recent U.S. tariffs on imports from Vietnam, China and Japan.
  • Following Canada’s August 1 adjustments, Nintendo cautioned that further price changes may be necessary if economic and tariff pressures persist.
