Overview
- Nintendo rebuilt The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time from scratch for the Nintendo Switch 2 and launched the new version as a platform exclusive.
- The remake adds voiced scenes, an orchestral score, new Link moves, a modern camera, and motion-control aiming to modernize play without changing the original story.
- Players can perform ocarina songs using the Switch 2 microphone by humming or playing real instruments, and traditional button inputs remain available.
- Producer Eiji Aonuma and Hidemaro Fujibayashi supervised the project while a younger art team reimagined the look with inspiration from Japanese puppet shows (ningyogeki).
- The release pairs in-game extras such as amiibo support with a companion service called ZELDA NOTES that offers achievements, image-based location search, and remote ocarina input, extending engagement beyond the console.
