Overview
- Nintendo added Hello Peach and Hello Luigi as free downloads to the Switch eShop on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, with the apps playable on Switch hardware including the Switch 2.
- Players interact by touching and dragging character faces, tapping a ? Block to spawn items or enemies, and playing a peekaboo minigame that reacts to on-screen items.
- Both apps work offline after download and include a built-in automatic sleep break that makes the character fall asleep to limit screen time; the sleep feature can be turned off in settings.
- Nintendo updated earlier Hello apps to support the My Mario wood block amiibo and announced a My Mario Melody Car that plays each character’s tune when an amiibo is placed in it.
- The releases extend Nintendo’s My Mario line of minimalist, parent-friendly experiences aimed at very young children and suggest a phased rollout with mobile store availability still uneven across regions.
