Overview

• Doug Bowser will retire as Nintendo of America’s president and COO on December 31, 2025, concluding more than a decade at the company and six years in the top U.S. role.
• Devon Pritchard, a Nintendo executive since 2006 and current EVP of revenue, marketing and consumer experience, has been appointed president and COO.
• Pritchard will join the Nintendo of America board of directors and become an executive officer at Nintendo Co., Ltd., formalizing her role within the global leadership team.
• Satoru Shibata will join Nintendo of America as CEO while retaining his positions as managing executive officer, corporate director and board member at Nintendo’s headquarters.
• Nintendo credited Bowser with guiding the latter Switch era, the Switch 2 launch in the Americas, and expansion into films and theme parks, as leaders pledged a smooth, continuity-focused transition.
