• Nintendo Switch 2 Edition games published by Nintendo will include both the original game and its upgrade pack on a single cartridge, eliminating the need for download codes.
• Third-party publishers may choose to distribute Switch 2 Edition games as download codes within physical packaging, without including a game card.
• Confirmed titles with Switch 2 Editions include Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, and Kirby and the Forgotten Land, with discounted upgrades available for existing owners.
• The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's Switch 2 Edition will not include the original game's Expansion Pass, though it may be available for separate purchase.
• Switch 2 Editions feature enhanced visuals, HDR support, improved resolution and frame rates, and new gameplay functionalities such as Zelda Notes and additional content for select games.
