Nintendo Cancels Tokyo Live 2024 Due to Persistent Threats

Threats Centered Around Splatoon 3 Tournament Lead to Postponement of Several Events

Nintendo has cancelled its upcoming Nintendo Live 2024 event in Tokyo due to persistent threats against staff, attendees, and spectators.
The threats have been centered around an upcoming Splatoon 3 tournament, leading to the postponement of the Splatoon Koshien 2023 National Finals.
Other tournaments, including the Splatoon 3 World Championship 2024, the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Online Challenge Final Stage, and the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe World Championship 2024, have also been postponed.
Nintendo has not detailed the nature of the threats but has stated that they have recently expanded to include participants and spectators.
New dates for the postponed events will be announced on Nintendo's website and Twitter account.
