Overview

• On the night of July 4 in Patraix, an estimated 20 youths used knives, sticks and a pitón chain to chase and assault a man carrying a broken bottle.
• GRIC officers dispatched by the Sala CIMACC–091 recovered three knives, multiple wooden and metal rods, a pitón chain and a shattered glass bottle during a search of the area.
• Among the nine suspects aged 14 to 26, five minors were released after formal notification to the Fiscalía de Menores.
• Four adults—including two with prior criminal records—remain in judicial custody facing charges of threats and injuries.
• Investigators are interviewing witnesses and analysing seized weapons to determine each participant’s specific role in the confrontation.
