- The accident involved a bus carrying 26 workers that collided with a trailer in the Wadi bin Hashbal region of Asir province.
- The Indian Consulate in Jeddah has set up a helpline and is working closely with local authorities and families of the deceased.
- External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar expressed grief over the incident and assured full support to affected families.
- The deceased also included workers from Nepal and Ghana, while two individuals sustained injuries and were hospitalized.
