• The nine elephants led by Abhimanyu arrived at Aranya Bhavan on August 4 under police and forest department escort
• At Aranya Bhavan, forest officials led by DCF I.B. Prabhugowda have arranged designated rest areas and routine veterinary check-ups
• Abhimanyu is confirmed as the golden howdah carrier for the Jumbo Savari, and Prashantha, Mahendra and Dhananjaya are training as backup carriers
• Four debutants among the second batch of five elephants, including 11-year-old Hemavathi, are set to arrive next month to complete the Dasara contingent
• The elephants are slated to enter Mysore Palace on August 10 during the Makara Godhuli Lagna, with final rehearsals underway ahead of the September 22–October 2 festivities
