Overview
- Nikon formally announced the Z5IIC on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, opened pre-orders and plans mid-October shipping with U.S. body pricing reported around $1,399–$1,449.
- The camera uses a 24.5MP backside-illuminated full-frame sensor with the EXPEED 7 processor, in-body 5-axis stabilization rated up to 7.5 stops, and autofocus that works down to −10 EV.
- Video features include 4K up to 60p (4K50/60 arrives with a DX/APS-C crop), Full HD up to 120p, 10-bit H.265 N-Log and internal 12-bit N-RAW recording to a single SD UHS-II card.
- Nikon added user-focused tools—15 scene modes on the mode dial (a first for its full-frame mirrorless line), in-camera Film Grain, a new Fish subject-detection option, Imaging Recipes button, REC lamp and UVC/UAC webcam support.
- To make the body smaller and cheaper Nikon removed the electronic viewfinder and kept a single SD slot and micro HDMI port, trade-offs that reduce size and cost but limit eyepiece framing and card redundancy.
