Nike Implements Targeted Price Increases and Returns to Amazon

Nike adjusts U.S. pricing for select products starting June 1 and reopens its Amazon storefront after a six-year hiatus to regain market share.

Overview

  • Nike will raise U.S. retail prices on adult apparel and equipment by $2–$10, footwear priced $100–$150 by $5, and footwear above $150 by $10 starting June 1.
  • Products under $100, children’s items, Air Force 1 sneakers, and Jordan apparel and accessories are exempt from the price increases.
  • Wholesale price hikes will take effect in July for the fall 2025 season, with retailers already notified of the adjustments.
  • Nike will resume direct sales on Amazon next week, barring third-party sellers from offering overlapping Nike items starting July 19.
  • The company cites seasonal planning for the pricing changes but faces cost pressures from U.S. tariffs on goods from China and Vietnam, where it manufactures about half of its footwear.
