Overview

  • The August 3 daytime mega block on Mumbai’s Central, Western and Harbour lines has concluded, completing essential bridge, track and platform maintenance.
  • Nightly closures are in effect from 10:45 pm to 3:45 am through August 9 to install and commission the new electronic interlocking system at Vashi.
  • Late-evening BelapurCSMT and BandraCSMT locals will be short-terminated at Vashi and Wadala Road, while PanvelVashi trains will end at Nerul during block hours.
  • Early-morning Panvel- and Goregaon-bound services will originate from Nerul or Wadala Road instead of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, and select pre-dawn departures from Vashi are cancelled on block nights.
  • The upgraded signalling system is expected to enhance Harbour Line reliability and reduce the frequency of future service disruptions.
