Overview
- The NIFT counselling portal opened Round 2 choice‑filling on Friday, giving candidates until July 5 at 11:59 pm to update preferences ahead of a July 7 seat allotment.
- Applicants who corrected their forms must complete document verification by 8 pm on July 3 to be eligible for Round 2 choice filling.
- Candidates who selected 'slide' or 'float' in Round 1 may change or upgrade preferences in Round 2. Candidates who chose 'freeze' cannot upgrade their allotted seats.
- Use nift.admissions.nic.in to log in with your application number and password, arrange and lock final choices before the deadline. Have Class 10/12 certificates, the NIFT scorecard, government photo ID and any category or PwD documents ready for verification.
- Round 2 allotment will be published on July 7 and allotted candidates must submit willingness and pay the admission fee between July 7 and July 9 to secure seats, so timely edits, verification and payment will determine whether applicants upgrade or lose offers and this process applies to both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
