Nieky Holzken, the Dutch kickboxing legend, won a special mixed-rules bout against Yoshihiro ‘Sexyama’ Akiyama at ONE 165, finishing the fight in the first round with a knockout.
The fight was set to switch between boxing, Muay Thai, and MMA rules from round one to round three, but Holzken ended the match in the boxing round.
Holzken, at 40 years old, expressed his interest in participating in more such mixed-rules fights, stating that they provide entertainment and variety for combat sports fans.
Despite his age, Holzken showed he still possesses knockout power and is open to facing other legends in the sport under similar special rules.
The Dutch fighter also expressed his satisfaction with his career, stating that he has accomplished everything he set out to do in the sport and has no plans to retire anytime soon.
