Nicki Minaj, during a New Year's Eve performance in Miami, stopped performing her 2012 hit 'Starships' and declared she will no longer perform the song.
The rapper has previously expressed her dislike for the song, calling it a 'stupid song' during the performance.
'Starships' is one of Minaj's biggest hits, peaking at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has gone platinum nine times in the USA.
Despite the song's success, Minaj has been open about her distaste for it, even expressing regret for some of her other hits like 'Anaconda' and 'Your Love'.
Minaj released her fifth studio album, Pink Friday 2, in December 2023 and is set to launch her Pink Friday 2 world tour in March.
