Nickelodeon Announces 'Avatar: Seven Havens' Animated Series

The new show, set after 'The Legend of Korra,' introduces an Earthbending Avatar navigating a fractured world.

Avatar: Seven Havens will span 26 episodes across two seasons, titled Book 1 and Book 2, and will be a 2D animated series.
The series follows a young Earthbender who discovers she is the new Avatar in a post-cataclysmic world where her role is viewed as destructive rather than heroic.
The protagonist is joined by her long-lost twin as they uncover their origins and work to save the Seven Havens, the last strongholds of civilization.
Original creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko return as executive producers, with production under Nickelodeon's Avatar Studios.
The announcement coincides with the 20th anniversary of 'Avatar: The Last Airbender,' and additional franchise projects, including an animated Aang film, are also in development.
