Nicholas Hoult Cast as Lex Luthor in 'Superman: Legacy

Nicholas Hoult has been cast as Lex Luthor in the upcoming film 'Superman: Legacy', directed by James Gunn.
Former Lex Luthor actor Jon Cryer has publicly expressed his support for Hoult's casting.
Before settling on Hoult, Gunn reportedly considered Bradley Cooper for the role of Lex Luthor.
Hoult was previously in talks to play the titular character in 'The Batman' and Clark Kent in 'Superman: Legacy', but lost both roles to Robert Pattinson and David Corenswet respectively.
The film 'Superman: Legacy' is scheduled to open in theaters on July 11, 2025.
