NIA Raids 19 Locations Across 8 States in Jaish-e-Mohammad Terror Investigation

The operation targets radicalization, recruitment, and terror financing linked to JeM operative Sheikh Sultan Salah Uddin Ayubi.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches at 19 locations across Assam, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Jammu and Kashmir.
The raids were part of an investigation into a terror conspiracy involving the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) group.
Sheikh Sultan Salah Uddin Ayubi, a JeM operative arrested in October, is accused of radicalizing youth and spreading jihadist propaganda via social media and encrypted platforms.
Investigators uncovered a terror financing network, with Rs 14 crore allegedly funneled to Ayubi through a banking outlet in Assam over several years.
The operation resulted in the seizure of incriminating documents, electronic devices, and the questioning of multiple suspects connected to Ayubi and the JeM network.
