- The supplementary charge sheet filed before the NIA Special Court in Ernakulam names Rafeek M S as the 64th accused and charges him under the Indian Penal Code and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
- The NIA alleges Rafeek harboured core conspirator Muhammad Shefeek after the April 2022 attack and destroyed key evidence.
- Investigations revealed Rafeek received arms and physical training at a PFI-run facility in Aluva as part of preparations for terrorist acts.
- Sreenivasan was killed in a daylight ambush by six attackers on motorcycles in April 2022 as part of what the NIA describes as the PFI’s plan to establish Islamic rule in India by 2047.
- The probe has identified 71 suspects and continues to track eight absconding individuals despite threats directed at the investigating officer.
